Job Duties:

The CSS Fiscal Technician II performs professional accounting duties, reviews and analyzes complex financial compound journal entries, compiles and prepares statistical reports for management review.
Reviews and analyzes for accuracy the statistical sampling of complex accounting journal entries required for the distribution of Child Support Cash Receipts. Reviews and analyzes for accuracy the financial data forwarded to other entities resulting from inquiries from clients and/or their representatives, courts, county offices, and legislative entities.
Monitors User Testing procedures for possible system enhancement pertaining to complex accounting events and the performance of the system to ensure compatibility with financial requirement and generally accepted accounting principles: compiles statistical reports for management to review to ensure the continuity of the distribution procedures of Child Support collections as mandated by Federal and State Legislation; monitors the automated Child Support System for errors resulting from accounting errors and then applies the correct accounting principles and theories to alter and maintain the Child Support Accounts to engage in the distributions of Child Support Funds; and assists with the testing and conversion of PACSS (Palmetto Automated Child Support System).
Serves as the day-to-day liaison with the Clerks of Courts and their county assignments to ensure that the proper and correct distribution of Child Support are completed in a timely manner; researches all distribution inquiries for assigned counties and provides specific information requests; processes Child Support collections that are reported on daily and monthly exception reports immediately; ensures collections are not held for more than forty-five (45) days; takes the appropriate actions to ensure all Child Support collections are disbursed correctly in a timely manner; and is required to answer incoming calls from clients that may have specific financial Child Support related inquiries.
Performs professional accounting duties reviewing and analyzing complex financial compound journal entries and compiling and preparing statistical reports for management to review. Reviews and analyzes for accuracy a statistical sampling of complex accounting journal entries required for the distribution of case receipts. Reviews and analyzes for accuracy financial data forwarded to other entities that are the results of inquiries from clients and their representatives, Clerks of Court offices, county social services offices, and legislative entities.
Performs job delivery and/or performance or appropriate customer service delivery to clients, the public and co-workers as an integral requirement. Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A High School Diploma and three (3) years of clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience.
An Associate Degree and one (1) year of clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience.
A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for required work experience.
