• Hybrid work Seeking a self-motivated, detailed oriented Regional Coordinator for Middle or East TN area to join our team to provide tax support and training to contracted independent tax practitioners within our company.

This position comprises a hybrid model of remote work, in-office meetings, and occasional travel. Our company has been assisting and providing support for independent tax practitioners across the state of Tennessee for over 50 years.

Duties:

• Manage and mentor independent tax practitioners year-round with tax preparation, research of tax law issues, and technology support
• Assist with in-house tax school training by preparing and presenting tax law information
• Occasional travel within TN to assist tax practitioners
• Extended hours during tax season
• Available for occasional overnight travel
• Be responsible for interviewing independent tax practitioners to contract for open positions within their region
• Complete client tax returns as needed
• Develop marketing ideas to grow the tax business and retain contracted independent tax practitioners
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate needs to possess an advanced level of experience with different types of tax returns (i.e. 1040/1041/1065/1120S/1120 and state returns) to provide the independent tax practitioners with support in tax preparation and with tax issues. Enrolled Agent (EA) with an active license or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced leadership and team management skills
• Excellent knowledge of tax preparation of all types of tax returns
• Farm knowledge (preferred but not required)
• Preferred knowledge of Drake tax program but not required
• Willingness to train independent tax practitioners and provide year round support
• Computer competency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Office 365
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detailed oriented
