In this high-impact role, you’ll oversee compliance, shape tax strategy, and provide critical guidance on transactions, structuring, and operations across a complex business landscape—including timeshare sales and development, vacation rentals, and property management. About the Role As Tax Director, you will: Drive Tax Strategy and Business Alignment Develop and execute integrated tax strategies for timeshare, rental, and property management operations. Advise senior leadership on the tax implications of acquisitions, restructurings, and new initiatives. Lead tax planning for M&A activity, including due diligence, structuring, and post-close integration. Identify opportunities for tax efficiency aligned with broader financial and business goals. Ensure Compliance and Accuracy Oversee preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns (income, franchise, property, occupancy, sales/use). Manage tax provision processes in accordance with

U.S. GAAP.

Ensure full compliance across our diverse revenue models and geographic footprint. Mitigate Risk and Represent the Organization Serve as the primary liaison for tax audits and inquiries across multiple jurisdictions. Develop robust internal controls and audit readiness plans. Proactively assess and mitigate risk related to complex tax exposures. Support Industry-Specific Needs Provide guidance on taxation related to timeshare ownership, transient rental income, and HOA financial structuring. Monitor regulatory developments impacting the hospitality and real estate sectors. Oversee accurate remittance and documentation of lodging and occupancy taxes. Collaborate Across the Business Partner with finance, legal, operations, and real estate teams to embed tax insight into decision-making. Support strategic deals, development projects, and new business models with sound tax planning. Lead Process Improvement and Technology Integration Drive automation and system improvements to enhance tax reporting and efficiency. Partner with IT to ensure systems support accurate tax data and compliance tracking. Inspire and Develop Talent Lead a high-performing tax team and manage external service providers. Mentor and coach internal talent, fostering a culture of compliance, ownership, and excellence. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA or Master’s in Taxation (strongly preferred). 10+ years of corporate tax experience, including senior leadership roles. Proven expertise with multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction tax operations. Strong command of tax codes relevant to hospitality, real estate, timeshare, and vacation rental sectors. Experience with sales/use tax, occupancy tax, property tax, and HOA structuring. Advanced proficiency in tax systems, ERP tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach. Working Conditions This position may be based at our Fort Lauderdale or Orlando corporate office or remotely with regular collaboration via video, phone, and in-person meetings as needed. A reliable high-speed internet connection and cellular phone are required for remote work.
