SUMMARY:
The person in this position assists in managing the taxfunction and meeting internal and external departmental deadlines.
He or she supports multinational planning andresearch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and review U.S. federal andstate income and miscellaneous other tax returns on a monthly,quarterly and annual basisAssist with review and preparation of taxprovisions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well asapplicable financial statement disclosuresResearch – analyzedomestic and multinational tax issuesAnalyze domestic andmultinational tax issues, including due diligence review foracquisitionsManage the international compliance reporting for theU.S. consolidated federal return (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and1118)Supervise and train tax staffCommunicate and interact withoutside auditors and tax advisorsMake critical technical decisions,utilizing expertise and experienceManage other projects and performother duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectivelywith all levels Knowledge of and ability to research tax matters(BNA and CCH experience preferred) Understanding of US GAAPaccounting for income tax principles (ASC 740, formerly known as
FAS 109, FIN 48
) Experience with US multinational tax complianceand planning Ability to analyze and apply tax knowledge to complextax issues and communicate findings in plain English to managementStrong computer skills, especially in Excel and for performing taxresearch Experience with OneSource tax-compliance-and-provisionsoftware preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks and competingprojects in an acquisition-oriented business
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAND/OR CREDENTIALS
Bachelors degree in accounting; MST or MBApreferred CPA certification and a minimum of seven to ten years ofrelated experience; a mix of public and industry preferredThisposition is employed by the specific entity set forth in the jobposting.
