The Tax Manager will oversee and manage the tax compliance and reporting process, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role is critical in planning, implementing, and maintaining effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage tax compliance and reporting processes for multiple entities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns
Develop strategies for effective tax planning and compliance
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization
Provide guidance and support to the finance team regarding tax matters
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary
Train and mentor junior staff in tax compliance and reporting processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Proficient in tax compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Experience in managing a team is a plus
