THE WORK

The Senior Manager, US Tax Operations willbe involved in all aspects of Ripple’s global operations to supportUS tax direct and indirect tax compliance, tax examinations, taxstrategy and planning and tax accounting / provision. You willadvise on complex US tax issues, develop and implement solutions toensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations,minimize tax risks, and optimize Ripple’s US tax position. You area free-thinker, motivated professional that can work independentlyas well as collaboratively with a cross-functional team andexternal partners at all levels. You will play a vital role inrecommending solutions and driving strategic-making processes. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Partner with cross-functional groups within Ripple to ensurethe US federal, multi-state, and local direct and indirect taximpacts of global business operations and tax needs are identified,considered and communicated. Provide input on the US federal, multi-state, and local directand indirect tax implications of new business initiatives, newproducts and services, and strategic planning initiatives. Advise on changes in US federal, multi-state, and local directand indirect tax laws and their impacts on the business. Proactively identify areas for process improvement within taxand finance and implement solutions to automate and streamlineprocesses around Ripple’s US tax operations to be scalable anddrive efficiencies while maintaining strong quality controls. Manage US federal, multi-state, and local direct and indirecttax compliance and reporting including all supporting calculations,forms, and information statements to ensure compliance taxregulations and guidelines as well as US GAAP taxaccounting/provision requirements. Assistance with US federal and multi-state direct and indirecttax examinations including gathering information and assemblingresponses. Manage quarterly and annual forecasts of Ripple’s globaloperations for forecasting cash taxes and the Company’s globaleffective tax rate for income taxes under ASC 740. Manage external service providers in furtherance of theabove.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
7+ years tax experience. Experience in fintech, financialservices tax, and crypto is a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, orAccounting. Deep working knowledge of US and multi-state direct andindirect taxation including US tax impacts of internationaloperations such as FDII, GILTI, Subpart F, FTCs, and BEAT. Confident, highly motivated, self-starter, solutions-oriented,innovative, creative thinker, and able to manage and prioritizemultiple projects effectively and work independently. Investigates and corrects variances, identifies incomplete orinaccurate data, determines root causes, and partners onresolution. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellenttechnical research skills. Advanced Excel skills. A bonafide team player and a good sense of humor.
