Tax Manager – Direct Path to Partner
Orlando, FL (Hybrid Role)
Salary:
$125,000 – $150,000+ Firm Overview For over 50 years, our well-established CPA firm has been a trusted name in Winter Garden, specializing exclusively in tax and consulting—no audits or reviewed financial statements. With 15 long-term employees and virtually no turnover, we foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Our firm owns its office building, offering easy parking and a prime location. Position Overview We are seeking a Tax Manager who is looking for a direct path to partnership and a long-term home at our firm. This role is ideal for a CPA (or someone in process) with at least 5 years of tax experience (7-10 preferred) and strong tax return review expertise. Unlike other firms, no sales or business development is required—our client list is full, and we are not taking on new clients. The right candidate will be a team player, willing to prepare and review tax returns, mentor staff, manage firm operations, and take on a leadership role as a future partner. Candidates must live within a 30-minute drive of Winter Garden (most employees are within 15 minutes). Key Responsibilities Review and prepare a variety of tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Mentor and support junior staff in tax preparation and client service. Manage firm operations alongside senior leadership. Collaborate with the team to maintain the firm’s high standards and strong client relationships.
Compensation & Benefits Hybrid Schedule:
Work from home 1-2 days per week, with flexibility for family needs.
Work-Life Balance:
Tax Season:
50-60 hours per week (Feb 1 – April 15). Rest of the
Year:
37-hour workweeks (leave Fridays at 1 PM).
Comp Time:
Overtime converts to extra pay or additional vacation time.
Paid Time Off:
3 weeks’ vacation to start (with comp time, typically 6 weeks total). 9 paid holidays per year.
Retirement Benefits:
