Job Details Responsibilities:
As aSenior Tax Manager, your primary responsibilities will include: 1.Overseeing and managing all tax planning and compliance with allrequired federal, state, local, payroll, property, and otherapplicable taxes. 2. Managing and facilitating the accuratepreparation and filing of all tax returns. 3. Conducting thoroughreviews of 1120S and S Corp tax returns and providingrecommendations to minimize tax liability. 4. Developing andimplementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal andstate taxes. 5. Managing members of the tax team to ensureperformance goals, deadlines, and results are met in a timelymanner. 6. Building relationships and interacting with clients toprovide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise. 7.Researching and consulting on various tax matters; utilizingtax-related software to prepare and process returns and researchtax matters. 8. Responding to tax authorities on behalf of thecompany and its subsidiaries regarding audits and other inquiries.9. Staying current on changes in tax law and accounting proceduresto ensure compliance and identify potential impact to theorganization.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the SeniorTax Manager position will have the following qualifications: 1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. AMaster’s degree in Taxation is preferred. 2. Certified PublicAccountant (CPA) designation is required. 3. Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in a public accounting firm or a corporate taxdepartment, with a focus on 1120S and S Corp. 4. Proven leadershipand staff development skills with a strong record of teammanagement. 5. Exceptional client service along with the ability todevelop excellent client relationships.
