Due to our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Tax Manager to join our team immediately. The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing tax compliance and reporting for a real estate investment entity. This includes preparing and reviewing filings across multiple jurisdictions, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to industry-specific tax regulations. The role also collaborates with senior leadership and external advisors to support tax planning efforts and maintain compliance while optimizing financial outcomes. An ideal candidate has 5+ years of tax experience, their CPA, and real estate trust experience. This is a full time, permanent position on a hybrid basis in Marietta, GA. (3 days a week onsite to start, 4 days a week onsite after Labor Day)

Responsibilities :

Prepare and review tax provisions under ASC 740 and ensure accurate tax reporting. Manage federal, state, and local income tax filings and estimated payments. Oversee tax account reconciliations and respond to tax notices. Ensure compliance with REIT-specific tax rules and support related planning. Assist with entity setup, tax elections, and documentation. Coordinate with external vendors on property tax filings. Identify and apply tax credits to improve financial efficiency. Automate processes using tools like Alteryx and manage depreciation schedules. Stay current on tax law changes and assess their impact. Support tax research, special projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.

Must-Have Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field CPA 5+ years of progressive experience in tax preparation and analysis Real estate trust experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Solid understanding of ASC 740 and related financial reporting requirements In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations Experience with federal, state, and local tax filings Skilled in analyzing complex tax matters and developing effective, practical solutions Strong project management skills Nice to
