The Sr. Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and reporting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all tax regulations. This role involves managing a team of tax professionals, providing strategic tax planning, and serving as a key advisor to clients on tax-related matters. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage tax compliance for individuals and corporations, ensuring timely and accurate filing of federal and state tax returns.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
Supervise and mentor a team of tax associates, fostering professional development and enhancing team performance.
Review complex tax returns, including 1040, 1120, and 1120S, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
Conduct research on various tax matters and stay updated on changes in tax regulations that may impact clients.
Collaborate with other departments and professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery to clients.
Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for tax-related inquiries.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; a Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.
CPA certification is required; EA certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on public accounting.
Proven experience in managing and supervising a team of tax professionals.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
