Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Marlborough, MA. In this role, you will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, manage client relationships, and provide guidance to a team of tax experts. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic tax planning initiatives and play a key role in delivering high-quality services to clients across various industries. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns for corporations, partnerships, multi-state entities, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Perform in-depth tax research using advanced tools and methodologies, presenting findings to clients or senior stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and direction to tax experts, including supervising day-to-day activities and delivering regular progress reports to senior management.
- Oversee client service delivery, ensuring timely preparation and submission of tax returns while coordinating proactive tax planning sessions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of tax reporting requirements, including compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Communicate effectively with client management, boards of directors, and audit committees to share insights and recommendations.
- Build and nurture a strong referral network to support business development and practice growth.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience supervising and mentoring tax professionals.
- Proven experience in tax management, with expertise in preparing and reviewing tax returns
- Strong knowledge of tax reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
- Utilize tax software platforms such as CCH ProSystem Fx to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tax-related processes. Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting and a CPA mandatory, Masters a plus
- 6+ years of public tax experience (Big 4 or large firm preferred)
