An International Tax Senior Manager is responsible for advisingclients of the tax implications relating to their businessobjectives, recommending alternate courses of action, as well asidentifying different methods of complying with tax regulations. Inthis role, the International Tax Senior Manager will be chargedwith marketing, networking and business development within his/herarea of experience and specialization and maintaining key clientrelationships. Additionally, the International Tax Senior Manageris a critical part of the office’s / region’s Tax Servicesleadership team and in this capacity will act as source forguidance on international tax questions and issues.
Job Duties:
TaxConsulting Develops, recommends and implements practicalinternational tax consulting•ideas related to client situationsEnsures client service teams comply with firm policy regardingWritten Tax Advice (WTA) Identifies and resolves complex taxationissues by applying multiple tax functional specialties Communicatescomplex technical matters to clients and other appropriateaudiences to ensure relevant issues are understood and resolved, asneeded Tax Specialization Continues to develop an in-depthunderstanding of the technical and practical issues andopportunities regarding international tax Acts as industry expertin international tax and services as U.S. resource for tax matterswith selected foreign jurisdictions Manages international taxservices provided to assigned clients, including assessment ofappropriate pricing structure for services Identifies opportunitiesfor tax alerts in areas of specialty and collaborates with NationalTax Office on drafting of those alerts Marketing and BusinessDevelopment Exhibits thought leadership in a specialized areawithin international tax Recognized as industry group go-to personin international tax Work with Specialized Tax Services andInternational Tax Partners, Local Office Managing Partner and localand regional Business Development Managers to develop and executean effective marketing plan Builds effective go-to-marketstrategies with Assurance Partners Research Identifies complexsituations when research is necessary providing an outline of theissue(s) and the appropriate source of research to be conductedAnalyzes researched facts and the sources utilized prior tocomposing a detailed report of the research findings Prepares WTAand confers with National Tax Office as appropriate Tax ComplianceManages client engagements Conducts detailed review ofinternational tax aspects of U.S. tax reporting and other clientsupplied data and identifies complex and advanced issues throughoutthe engagement Leverages compliance role to identify additionalinternational tax issues and opportunities Tax ControversyRepresents clients before U.S. tax authorities on international taxaspects of contested issues

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day workload ofInternational Tax, Managers, Senior Associates, Associates, andInterns on assigned engagements and reviews work product andensures their technical development Delivers periodic performancefeedback and completes performance evaluations for InternationalTax Managers, Senior Associates, Associates, and Interns Acts asmentor to International Tax Managers, Senior Associates andAssociates and Interns, as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:
Education:
Bachelors degree, required; degreewith a focus in Accounting, preferred J. D., LLM, and/or
MST/MBT,preferred Experience:
Eight (8) or more years of prior experiencein corporate tax, international taxation, legal professionalservices or equivalent experience gained through an advanced degreeprogram, required Experience in international tax, requiredExperience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagementbasis, required
License/Certifications:
CPA certification, Attorney(admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal RevenueService Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of thesedesignations), required
Software:
Proficient in the use ofMicrosoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint,preferred Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis and/orWestlaw, preferred
