Key Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables. Review tax returns and workpapers for various entities, including LLCs, S Corporations, C Corporations, trusts, exempt organizations, and individuals (including multi-state returns). Prepare complex tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations. Develop workpapers for compilations and reviews, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and financial statement disclosures. Lead projects with minimal supervision and demonstrate accountability for timelines and client deliverables. Prepare and oversee payroll tax and sales tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Utilize tools such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Intuit software to manage client data and streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
CPA license preferred. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on tax preparation experience (preferred). Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Intuit software required. Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and current tax regulations. Prior experience in a small firm environment strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
