Position is responsible for all income tax matters in NAM under thedirection of the Director of Corporate Tax Manages preparation of and reviews tax provisions for all NAMreporting entities, including the NOL deferred tax asset, valuationallowance and annual Section 382 study for possible limitations onNOL utilization Manages annual Federal and state income tax compliance and reviewsreturns prepared by outside tax advisors Reviews annual transfer pricing studies prepared by outside taxadvisor Prepares annual BEAT calculation Rolls forward E&P calculations and parent’s basis insubsidiaries’ stock. Reviews Forms 5471 and 5472. Works closely with the Director of Corporate Tax in creating taxplanning strategies to minimize tax risk and cash tax expense. Manages state income and franchise tax audits Assist with structing and review of cross-border transactions Implements tax strategic planning initiatives at the direction ofthe Director of Corporate Tax and coordinates with Accounting andFinance and the business units Maintains and updates model cross-border transaction structures forprojects based in the US and Canada with under the direction of theDirector of Corporate Tax Works with outside consultants on and reviews transfer pricingstudies Reduce cash state income tax expense by improving accuracy ofapportionment reporting and implementing tax strategies under thedirection of the Director of Corporate Tax Manages tax due diligence on M&A transactions Continual improvement of tax provision preparation and income taxcompliance processes to streamline effort and time required andimprove audit support and audit trail. Improved accuracy of quarterly estimated payments significantlyminimizing risk of penalties Improved accuracy of state apportionment information for all USbusinesses Bring current calculations of E&P, basis in stock ofsubsidiaries and stated capital of Canadian subsidiaries Manages outsourced tax provision preparation, income tax complianceand related documentation and consulting projects Manages federal and state income tax audits and serves as mainpoint of contact for auditor Works closely with the Director of Corporate Tax Analyzes the income tax implications for large transactions and, ifappropriate, business operations expansion or restructuring Coordinates with Global Tax on initiatives and ensure compliancewith global tax sharing agreements Your Profile / Qualifications College degree in accounting required Masters in Tax/JD Masters in Tax a plus CPA a plus Minimum of 5-10 years progressive global corporate tax experienceincluding a minimum of 3-5 years in public accounting.. Experience with structuring cross-border transactions and transferpricing strategies for multi-national corporations. Experience in reviewing complex financial statement income taxprovisions for Canadian and US companies Involvement with state corporate income tax audits Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
