Our client is looking for a Tax Manager to play a critical role in managing a high-visibility transition project while supporting tax-related activities across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities:

+ As the Tax Manager, you will manage a variety of critical tax functions and help ensure a seamless transition as a new tax partner is onboarded. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Managing tax operations for two large entities: the U.S. (the largest entity), six countries in LATAM, and Canada. + Assisting in project management during the onboarding process with new Tax firm. This includes overseeing the transition of duties and maintaining smooth operations. + Leading tax activities during a period of organizational transition. + Handling sales & use tax tasks as the organization shifts to direct-to-consumer sales across all U.S. states. + Key tasks include: + Retrieving and reconciling data. + Performing calculations for tax returns. + Approving journal entries and reconciliations. + Conducting process reviews and recommending process improvements. + Preparing tax provision packages for quarter-close reporting. Requirements To succeed in this role, you must have the following: +

Tax Knowledge:

Expertise in U.S. tax operations, including sales & use tax, withholding tax, and gathering data for income tax purposes. Familiarity with international tax regulations, particularly in Canada and LATAM, is preferred. +

Canadian VAT Experience:

Practical knowledge to accurately review Canadian VAT submissions before forwarding them to tax firm. +

Strong Organizational Skills:

Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams to ensure smooth workflows. +

Process Improvement Mindset:

A demonstrated ability to streamline processes, implement efficiencies, and adapt to change. +

Technical Expertise:

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in handling reconciliations, data retrieval, and financial journal entries.
