The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the tax compliance and reporting process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services to the organization. Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize cash flow
Conduct tax research and analysis on various tax issues and provide recommendations
Prepare and review financial statements and tax provisions
Collaborate with external auditors during tax audits and provide necessary documentation
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organization
Advise on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
Lead and mentor tax staff to enhance their skills and professional development
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
Experience with tax software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
