Tax Preparer with bookkeeping experience SFS Tax & Accounting Services 738 South Colorado Avenue, Stuart, FL 34994 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts, with the ability to assist clients in preparing and filing their tax returns accurately and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses. Monthly bookkeeping and payroll for new and existing clients. Review financial records, including income statements and tax documents, to ensure accuracy. Stay updated on current tax legislation and changes in tax laws. Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities. Assist clients with inquiries regarding their tax situations and provide clear explanations of complex tax issues. Utilize QuickBooks for efficient data management Is a must. Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times. Qualifications Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and financial concepts. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software is preferred. Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is a plus. Familiarity with sales tax regulations and financial sales practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
