We are looking for a motivated and outgoing individual who wants to work for a CPA firm in Lake Mary, FL. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual income tax returns (1040s) ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations. Respond to client inquiries and IRS notices effectively and efficiently. Conduct tax research using relevant resources (handbooks, bulletins, etc.) to address complex tax situations. Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards. Prepare tax extensions and estimates as needed. Review financial records (income statements, expense documentation, prior returns) to accurately complete tax forms. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tax filings. Communication with clients Skills 3+ years of experience preparing individual income tax returns (1040s). Comprehensive knowledge of tax law, IRS rules, and relevant precedents. Proven tax research skills are essential. Strong technical tax preparation and review skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet stringent quality standards. Excellent time management and prioritization skills – ability to multitask and handle time-sensitive assignments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members. Tax software knowledge, CCH ATX program is a plus PTIN is required

Job Type:

$18.00 – $24.00 per hour
