Tax Preparer/Accountant Groundup Solar & Electrical LLC Covington, LA 70433 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and experience with various accounting and financial software. Duties Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships while adhering to all applicable tax laws. Analyze financial documents to determine the best tax strategies for clients. Use accounting software like QuickBooks to input data and generate reports. Review financial statements and other documents to ensure accuracy in reporting. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax-related concepts. Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and market trends that may affect clients’ tax situations. Assist clients in understanding their financial obligations and provide guidance on tax planning. Qualifications Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts. Proficiency in using financial software and accounting tools. Excellent math skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets. Familiarity with corporate accounting practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
