Tax Preparer Meredith Elkins & Feldman Morristown, TN 37814 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for processing payroll and maintaining financial records of multiple clients each month. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Duties Prepare accurate tax returns for clients, including individuals and small businesses. Analyze financial data and documentation to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks to assist in the preparation of tax returns. Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks to process payroll for multiple clients. Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks to reconcile and maintain financial records for multiple clients. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address any questions or concerns. Provide exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with clients. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery. Experience Previous experience in tax preparation is required. Current CPA license is preferred. Proficiency in using financial software, particularly QuickBooks, is highly desirable. Strong mathematical skills and the ability to analyze complex financial data. Familiarity with various financial concepts related to taxation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients.
