Job Overview:

The Mutuel Teller/Game Attendant is responsible for recording bets, cashing customers out, giving correct change, accuratelycounting and recording assigned funds, verifying and documenting personal identification for transactions. Mutuel Teller/ Game Attendants are responsible for performing high volume cash transactions with guests in a courteous, accurate and timely manner; computes all monetary transactions, maintains accurate transaction and auditable balancing practices at the beginning and end of shifts count down and balance amounts to the Imprest Bank. Mutuel Teller/ Game Attendants are also responsible providing positive customer service to guests who are playing games or who are on the casino floor. Mutuel Teller/ Game Attendants are also to convey a consistently professional, friendly and courteous manner, with all customers and team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safeguard company assets and adheres to all Main Bank policies and procedures
• Processes wallet pays and exchanges currency for the guests and TITO (ticket in, ticket out) fills
• Routinely engages with guests to describe, promote and demonstrate new and existing technology available online and on property
• Displays attentive, upbeat, and enthusiastic behavior during each and every interaction with all guests throughout the shift
• Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift
• Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests in a confidential manner
• Balances all monetary transactions and paperwork
• Must maintain strict adherence to the department policies and procedures
• Must have and maintain a stable, positive background and adhere to the established Dress Code
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• A minimum of six (6) months’ cash handling experience is preferred
• Ability to operate computer is required
• Must have a Mobile County Racing Commission License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations; a skills test will be administered
• Knowledge of the operation of currency counter is preferred
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to stoop, kneel and crouch without limitation when needed
• Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
• Willing to participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours including night and weekend schedules
