The Banker will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while handling various banking transactions. This position requires a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and relationship management to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Duties Help customers complete basic financial transactions including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, wire transfers, cash advances, currency exchanges, stop payments and holds, cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, and closing of accounts Answer customer questions and provide information about Unico Bank’s services including instant issue debit cards, online and mobile banking, and various consumer account types Verify customer identities and keep all information confidential per Bank policy Maintain a cash drawer and successfully reconcile the cash drawer and branch’s vault cash at the end of each shift Assist with the dual control responsibilities throughout the branch Adhere to federal and state banking regulations as well as Unico Bank policies, procedures, risk management, and internal controls Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality Answer telephones and transfer calls to the appropriate person following the Bank’s customer service standards Assist with the daily verification of deposits in the night depository Accept and process address changes per Bank policy Provide an explanation of Online Banking to customers and troubleshoot any issues with access or enrollment Allow customers to access safe deposit boxes, maintain box agreements, and entry log per current procedures Stay informed of all operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with all current guidelines Complete training modules monthly and annually as assigned Travel to other branch locations may be required Other duties as assigned Skills Proficient in cash handling with a strong attention to detail. Experience in sales, particularly in promoting financial products or services. Strong relationship management skills to foster positive interactions with customers. Familiarity with financial software applications for efficient transaction processing. Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks. Understanding of debits and credits within banking operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist customers effectively.
