Role Overview The Head Teller supervises, coordinates, and schedules activities of employees engaged in Teller functions, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures such as: accurately accounting for funds received and disbursed, correctly recording member transactions in the credit union’s data processing system, and providing information to members with respect to their financial and other transactions at the credit union. Day-to-Day Proactively identify changes in the member’s life events and banking needs in order to recommend relevant services and financial solutions to help members to achieve financial success.
Recognize referral opportunities and refers members for specialized services, including investments, real estate, commercial, and other financial needs.
Encourage, coach and inspire Team Members on how to recognize referral opportunities and to recommend relevant services for members.
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule teller activities ensuring work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures/regulations.
Develop teller work schedules to provide adequate level of service to members.
Daily ensure all teller transactions are balanced: searching records to assist tellers in locating/reconciling posting errors.
Audit teller cash drawers when needed and remove cash to vault to reduce drawer levels when appropriate.
Performs teller work to assist teller staff during peak work periods.
Performs other duties as needed. Requirements High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-3 years related experience and/or training in a full-service financial institution
