Job Description

Teller- Part Time 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 301 Mims Road, Sylvania, GA 30467 Under general supervision, but conforming to established Bank policies and procedures as well as comply with all banking laws, rules and regulations in the operation of a Teller Station to provide prompt, efficient & accurate transactions, a Teller is responsible for accepting deposits and cash checks to customer’s accounts; cross-sell Bank’s services and products; process night deposit bags; sell cashier’s checks and money orders; redeem U.S. Savings Bonds; accept loan and safe deposit box rent payments; answer customer inquiries and give balances; balance transactions at end of day and verify cash; and, perform other duties as needed. May be cross-trained in other job functions such as Advanced/Head Teller, CSR or Loan Processor.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4pm. Approximately 25 to 30 hours per week. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the Bank, typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

Accepts deposits and cashes checks to customers’ accounts Cross-sells the Bank’s services and products Processes night deposit bags Sells cashier’s checks and money orders Redeems U.S. Savings Bonds Accepts loan payments and safe deposit box rent payments Answers customer inquiries and gives balances Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Bank and complies with all banking laws, rules and regulations Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of six months cash handling & customer service experience required Previous Teller experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required Ability to operate on-line teller terminal required Successful completion of Teller training and other required compliance training Professional demeanor and presentation required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred Education Required High School or better Preferred Bachelors or better in Finance or related field Associates or better in Accounting or related field
