Description We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Teller to join our team in Framingham, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position within the banking industry, ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment and has strong cash handling skills. The role involves assisting members with their financial needs while delivering exceptional service and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist members in a friendly and detail-oriented manner, ensuring a positive experience.
• Protect members’ privacy by securely handling personal and financial information.
• Support members in opening and closing accounts, answering questions about products and services, and identifying opportunities to recommend beneficial credit union offerings.
• Manage and balance a cash drawer accurately, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently.
• Utilize sound judgment to safeguard members and the credit union from potential losses.
• Perform account-related services such as adding new services or opening new accounts with guidance when needed.
• Stay informed about and adhere to relevant laws and regulations governing banking operations.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and educate members on credit union products and services that meet their needs.
• Handle other duties as assigned to support operational goals and member satisfaction. Requirements
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a banking or financial environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling and completing financial transactions accurately.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to answer inbound calls professionally.
• Familiarity with daily banking activities and processes.
• Ability to identify and recommend appropriate financial products and services.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and protecting the organization from potential risks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with members.
