Knoxville Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering quality service to First US Bank customers through accurate and efficient handling of various types of financial transactions. Supports staffing requirements by occasionally working at different retail banking centers within the defined geographical area as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided in addition to regular compensation. Performs additional duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities /
Job Duties:
Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, official checks, account transfers, loan payments, check and debit card orders, stop payments, and other types of requests. Maintain knowledge of First US Bank products and services; identify customer needs and develop appropriate referral opportunities through strong customer relationship skills. Educate customers on the use of First US Bank digital banking platforms and delivery channel alternatives for their financial interactions. Answer branch calls promptly, professionally, and courteously; address customer inquiries; take accurate and complete messages when necessary. Perform daily branch operation tasks, including balancing cash drawer, vault, and ATM/ITMs, processing night deposits, ordering currency and coin shipments, completing currency transaction reports, scanning documentation, and other types of activities. Adhere to established policies and procedures; Maintain security and confidentiality of customer information; Demonstrate sound judgment within established limits. Participate in and complete all required compliance training, including BSA/AML, as well as other internal and external training programs. Participate in training new teammates as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service and cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail setting preferred Strong mathematical skills; ability to accurately balance transactions Ability to operate bank software programs and standard office equipment; proficient typing skills Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail Effective communication skills, both written and oral Friendly and courteous demeanor; interpersonal skills necessary to professionally interact with customers and coworkers Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; must be able to drive to defined retail banking center locations as required to support staffing needs. Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May require the ability to lift files, bend, reach, walk or maneuver around the bank. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
