Job Description
Controller 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Fultondale, AL 35068 Talento Search Group has an opening for a Controller in the Fultondale, Alabama area. This is a direct-hire position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct all aspects of accounting including general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting Perform all month-end and year-end closing tasks including journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and general ledger documentations Perform data analysis, create financial reports, and long term financial goals Oversee the accounting and audit areas Oversee monthly closing process Track and report on financial results Work with management to prepare monthly forecasts and annual budget Track and report on financial results against budget Provide schedules and documentation to assist with company audits Understand capital spending needs of the location Ensure capital plans are included in forecasting and budgeting processes
Experience Needed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field CPA or CMA is preferred At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance At least 2 years of controller experience Extensive knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
