Our client, a growing construction company with multiple entities, is seeking a Controller or VP of Finance to oversee financial operations and be a trusted partner to ownership and the board. This is a high-impact role where your insights will directly shape the company’s growth and future success. Bonus potential included What You’ll Be Doing Oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance for three operating entities
Deliver accurate financial reports to ownership and the board
Develop dashboards, KPI reports, and cost analytics to drive decisions
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Manage and mentor a team of three accounting professionals
Collaborate with project teams to provide cost analysis—no job costing or WIP
Serve as a strategic advisor on growth initiatives, capital projects, and long-term planning What You’ll Need to Be Considered An experienced accounting/finance leader with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA required
Comfortable providing cost analysis and margin tracking without formal job costing or WIP
Advanced Excel capabilities for financial modeling and reporting
Excellent planning and analysis skills with the ability to translate budgets, forecasts, and P&L analysis into action items. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems used in construction or project-based industries
Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor a small team
