POSITION SUMMARY
1. Affect the success of the organization through the establishment and management of all financial budgeting, business, operational and financial planning processes for the organization. 2. Ensure the effective development and day to day management of systems and processes associated with accounting, reporting, and decision support. 3. Develop and implement systems, mechanisms and controls to monitor and ensure all billing and collection efforts are functioning in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Research new technologies and tools, recommend improvements to existing processes, and support ongoing improvement of the organization’s billing and collection efforts. 4. Monitor productivity and manage work assignment and process improvement. Develop and implement reporting tools and mechanisms which result in the continuous awareness of the organizational financial results related to billing, collection, denials, and all related performance metrics. 5. Provide expert support and financial stewardship for the organization. Ensure risks and issues which may affect the financial health of the organization are identified, addressed, and remedied. 6. Ensure the organization’s leadership, including its Board of Directors and Finance Committee are supported with timely and accurate budgeting and reporting of financial and operational outcomes. 7. Support new business development through expert analysis, planning, and decision support. 8. Ensure timely and accurate processing, posting, and recording of all relevant financial transactions or information as assigned (a/p, a/r, billing, general ledger, cash management, financial reporting, statement preparation, operational reporting, UDS reports, etc.). 9. Ensure all expenses related to employment, including recruitment, departmental, worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation, safety training, and related matters fall within budgeted guidelines and are accurately documented. 10. Ensure all processing, input, recordkeeping, and reporting of employee data, employment information, and employee benefits information is accurate and timely. 11. Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues; contributing information; analysis, and recommendations. 12. Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; resolving problems; implementing change.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources or related field, or 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Healthcare Finance and Human Resources in lieu of degree. MBA/CPA or related credential and education preferred. Experience
- Demonstrated success in the role of senior financial executive with a comparable or larger sized organization. Federally Qualified Health Center experience would be highly preferred.
- Substantial business experience and exposure within the health care industry.
- Substantial knowledge and expertise in all facets of finance, accounting, business planning, information systems and related disciplines.
- Significant knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Significant computer/spreadsheet experience and demonstrated knowledge of PC files and related computer workings required.
