Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and financial reporting. Conduct the financial planning & analysis (FP&A) functions of the business. This role provides strategic financial leadership, ensures strong fiscal management, and partners with the executive team to drive business performance through financial insights and forecasting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and timely delivery of accurate reports. Perform the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Develop and present timely financial insights, variance analyses, and scenario modeling to support decision-making. Monitor and interpret financial performance, highlighting trends and identifying key business drivers and risks. Participate in strategic planning as a member of the executive leadership team. Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies. Optimize cash flow forecasting and working capital management. Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and scalability. Manage and coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts across all departments. Provide financial input on major business initiatives, including pricing strategies, capital investments, and strategic partnerships. Oversee compliance with tax reporting and regulatory requirements (payroll, sales and use tax, etc.). Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, creating opportunities for professional growth and strengthening department capability. Serve as a financial advisor to senior leadership and support the President in investor, bank, and board communications. Coordinate financial audits and liaise with external auditors and consultants. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages finance and accounting personnel, including direct and indirect reports. Responsibilities include staffing, performance management, training and development, and establishing departmental goals. Must foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Requirements:
Education and Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred) Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, including FP&A and accounting leadership Strong understanding of GAAP and financial modeling techniques Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting and forecasting processes Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data for business impact Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically
