The Assistant Controller will support the financial operations of the organization, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards and providing accurate financial reporting. This role will assist in managing the accounting department and will play a crucial part in the financial planning and analysis process. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Support the Controller in managing the accounting operations and staff
Participate in the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Help develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with SEC regulations
Prepare tax provisions and assist with ASC 740 requirements
Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
Utilize ERP systems, including Workday, for reporting and analytical purposes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA certification is required
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience
Experience with internal controls and audit processes
Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Workday, is a plus
Previous experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager role is a strong advantage
Exposure to Big 4 firms is preferred Benefits Medical
