We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller with a strong foundation in Accounts Payable (AP) to support our expanding operations. This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and wants to grow into a Controller-level leader.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Oversee all accounts payable functions: invoice processing, coding, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely payments.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and audit documentation.
  • Implement and enforce internal controls and best practices in financial operations.
  • Support both real estate and healthcare operations, including rent roll reconciliation and service provider payables.
Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate and/or healthcare.
  • Strong proficiency in AP workflows and accounting systems (QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or NetSuite preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliations, formulas).
  • CPA or CPA-track a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
