Controller Position Available In Broward, Florida

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this role, you will oversee critical financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions. This position requires strong expertise in financial reconciliations, month-end close processes, and journal entry preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Conduct month-end close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and cash accounts to maintain accurate records.
• Handle credit card reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
• Monitor and audit budget processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze financial data and create reports.
• Support the team with automotive sales-related financial tasks.
• Collaborate with a small team to streamline accounting procedures and maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all financial activities. Requirements
• Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar accounting leadership role.
• Strong background in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds or similar accounting systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Expertise in preparing and adjusting journal entries.
• Solid understanding of month-end close processes and financial reconciliations.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively within tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to work collaboratively with a team.
