This role will oversee all core functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Tax, Inventory, Accounting, and Finance, with an additional focus on building and mentoring a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to translate complex financial data into business insights and provide visionary leadership, coaching, and performance management across the department. Supervisory Responsibilities of the VP of Finance and Accounting Directly supervise accounting and finance team members, including managers, analysts, and specialists. Set performance objectives, delegate responsibilities, and monitor progress toward goals. Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews to provide feedback and drive development. Coach and mentor staff to support skills growth, engagement, and succession planning. Make hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations in alignment with company policies. Duties/Responsibilities of the VP of Finance and Accounting Accounting & Finance Leadership Oversee the general accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reporting. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes. Develop and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Provide strategic financial analysis to support decision-making and long-term planning. Partner with executive leadership to drive business performance and growth initiatives. Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) Direct and optimize AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Implement controls and procedures to minimize errors, fraud, and inefficiencies. Monitor cash flow and working capital, improving collections and payment terms as needed. Tax Compliance & Planning Ensure compliance with all federal, state, international, and local tax regulations. Coordinate the preparation and filing of tax returns with internal teams and external auditors. Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies in line with the company’s goals. Inventory Management Collaborate with operations and supply chain to maintain accurate inventory valuation and reporting. Monitor inventory levels and assess financial impact on profitability and cash flow. Implement internal controls for physical inventory and reconciliation processes. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a high-performing accounting and finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

Deep expertise in AP, AR, tax, inventory management, and financial reporting. Strong experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., IFS).
