The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Firm Financial Controller to step in as the go-to expert for all things finance. You’ll be the person we rely on to keep our numbers straight, our obligations met, and our financial future secure. From taxes to payroll to trust accounting, you’ll handle it all with precision and professionalism—while working alongside a leadership team that values your insight and initiative.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing and filing federal, state, and local business tax returns Managing and processing semi-monthly payroll, including benefits and deductions Maintaining accurate general ledger and trust account records Overseeing accounts payable and keeping vendors happy (and paid) Performing monthly and year-end financial reconciliations Monitoring cash flow and producing regular financial reports for leadership Ensuring compliance with legal accounting and trust account standards Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Serving as a point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting Solid understanding of tax compliance, payroll, and accounting best practices Experience with trust accounting (a big plus!) Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Clio, or similar) High attention to detail, excellent organization, and strong communication skills Someone who’s proactive, reliable, and ready to take ownership
