Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Accountant & Operations Manager in this position will play a key role in coordinating daily operational tasks while supporting accounting and financial activities. This dual role requires someone with a solid understanding of operations workflows, inventory accounting, and bookkeeping or financial reporting. This position requires a thorough understanding of our inventory management system, BiT (BiT Dealership Software).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage BiT Dealership Software (BiT) inventory management system and understand how it affects the financials. Streamline and maintain day-to-day operations in BiT and own the financials results of said transactions. Partner with operations teams to understand inventory movement and daily operations of the business. Analyze inventory transactions, adjustments, and variances. Oversee the month-end close process Maintain and reconcile inventory and general ledger accounts. Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts; perform inventory audits as needed. Investigate and resolve inventory, sale, COGS, and similar discrepancies. Support continuous improvement efforts for inventory tracking and financial controls.
Qualifications:
2-5 year of experience with BiT Dealership Software 5+ years of relevant experience in operations and accounting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Knowledge of GAAP accounting Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment is a plus.
