The total annual revenue for the Club is $5M. PIYC is a seasonal organization with 65 employees at the peak of our high Season. Pelican Isle Yacht Club A Member-owned private Club in North Naples with 450 Memberships, 190 Boat Slips, a beautiful campus with rich amenities and an active “on-the-water” lifestyle. The Club is comprised of Members and Employees who are proud of our friendly and inclusive atmosphere, professional organization, and beautiful location. PIYC is recognized by Club Leader’s Forum as the #7 Yacht Club in America on the Platinum Clubs List and on the top 50 Platinum Clubs of the World. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Record Member transactions such as new, resignations and Marina slip transfers
  • Process monthly Member billings
  • Prepare Club and Marina bank reconciliations
  • Manage inventory controls for Food & Beverage and Ship’s Store
  • Record monthly inventory usage journal entries
  • Record various journal entries for payroll and benefits
  • Coordinate record storage, including insurance and asset/construction documentation
  • Track and report capital asset purchases and disposals
  • Reconcile and report fixed asset balances
  • Assist in the preparation of operating and capital budgets
  • Assist in the preparation of other accounting reports as needed
  • Cross train with the Club Accountant and Member Services Team
  • Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll processing. Review and update the time and attendance system, process payroll, and receive payroll approval from Controller/GM
  • Audit Vacation, Personal Time, and Floating Holiday usage and balances
  • Process all HR paperwork including new hire onboarding, performance reviews, increases, changes, terminations, and benefit enrollments. Maintain accurate HR files on all employees in Paylocity and Employee Navigator and ensure confidentiality
  • Lead the seasonal H2B Program in coordination with the Department Heads
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims and employment verification requests
  • Assist employees with HR related questions such as HR policies, benefits, personnel updates, Paylocity, etc.
  • Plan and facilitate new hire employee orientation program
  • Process and maintain Simple IRA enrollment, deduction changes and biweekly contributions
  • Work with the Controller and Broker on annual open enrollment, assist in selecting plans, subsidization levels, and work with the benefits broker to set up the open enrollment event in Employee Navigator. Coordinate open enrollment meetings and assist employees with enrollment
  • Administer benefits programs and facilitate new hire meetings to assist employees with enrollment as needed Additional Position Requirements
  • Provides highest level of Member Service during all interactions
  • Communicates with Members and colleagues in a clear and timely manner; returning all calls and emails as soon as reasonably possible
  • Collaborates with colleagues for routine and special projects
  • Knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on a broad variety of projects
  • Ability to support various departments and foster teamwork
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Is established in Southwest Florida and will not need to relocate for this role
  • Has three-five years of Accounting experience
  • Has Private Club and/or Hospitality experience
  • Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field or comparable experience
  • Demonstrates superior computer skills
  • Possesses excellent communication skills
  • Is familiar with Jonas Club Software or similar accounting applications Pelican Isle Yacht Club is a positive work environment, supports continuing education and offers excellent benefits.
