Job Description
Financial Controller Confidential Naples, FL 34109 • Hybrid work Controller / Accounting Manager (Naples, FL) A Naples, FL-based Family Office is seeking a highly skilled Controller/Accounting Manager to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial professional with experience in construction accounting, investment reporting, reconciliations, and cash management within a family office, wealth management, or investment environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Reporting:
Lead the implementation of an investment reporting system to enhance financial tracking and analysis.
Investment Reconciliation:
Maintain accurate records for various entities, including individuals, trusts, foundations, and partnerships, while reconciling investments monthly/quarterly and evaluating performance.
Transaction Oversight:
Monitor investments, ensuring accurate tracking of capital calls, distributions, and outstanding commitments.
Cash Flow Management:
Oversee capital movements, ensuring timely processing of cash flows, including capital calls and distributions.
Bill Payment & Expense Management:
Assist with cash management and household expense payments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with office protocols.
Financial Documentation:
Maintain organized electronic records of investment materials and financial transactions in alignment with office best practices.
Tax Coordination:
Collaborate with tax accountants to support timely tax return preparation and quarterly tax payments.
Process Improvement:
Develop and refine internal controls, policies, and procedures to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Special Projects:
Participate in various financial and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4-8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in investment accounting, wealth management, or a family office setting. Strong knowledge of the securities industry, including hedge funds and private equity investments. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred). Ability to work independently in a small office environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines effectively. Experience in construction accounting using builder trend, procore , jobtread etc. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing family office in a key financial leadership role.
