Controller Jacksonville, FL | Full-Time Vaco is hiring a Controller in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in both public and private accounting and be eager to contribute to financial strategy and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Perform core accounting functions, including posting Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) transactions. Assist with month-end and year-end closings , journal entries, and reconciliations. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide leadership with actionable insights. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Work with various accounting systems and maintain Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysis. Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and financial projects. Prepare financial documents such as business reports, forecasts, and financial statements to assess the company’s financial health. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory financial requirements and maintain strong financial standing. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (accounting required). 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes . Experience with General Ledger systems . Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills . Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP/accounting systems preferred. Ability to work onsite in the Jacksonville office. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows:90,000-100,000 . The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
