Accounting Support Staff The Controller plays a key leadership role in overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control functions across the organization. This position is critical in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and delivering strategic financial insights that support the organization’s continued growth and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to support compliance and operational efficiency. Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors; manage all aspects of the annual audit process. Collaborate with executive leadership to provide meaningful financial analysis and support strategic planning. Manage all aspects of the month-end close process. Prepare and present monthly financial reporting packages to executive leadership. Develop and maintain weekly cash forecasts and deliver key financial insights. Oversee accounts receivable performance, ensuring proper collections and resolution of discrepancies. Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience 2+ years of auditing experience (preferred) Significant experience managing month-end close processes (required) Experience in healthcare finance or home health (preferred) Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams
