Now, we’re looking for a dynamic finance leader ready to make a lasting impact. What You’ll Do As our Controller , you will play a key role in shaping Crowley’s financial direction. You’ll be responsible for the corporation’s financial reporting and accounting functions, while also contributing to strategic planning and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in planning corporate growth and evaluating performance against objectives. Selects, develops, and motivates management talent. Continuous process improvement to drive process efficiencies and cost reduction, including the research and implementation of new IT platforms. Actively participates in planning, approval, revising and implementing corporate strategies and financial activities. Responsible for external auditor relationships, financial disclosures and financial controls for the corporation. Manages the Payroll function, Insurance accounting, Claims Management, financial close cycle, fixed asset life cycle and related registering of assets. Consolidates budget and financial forecasting from business units with corporate projections in conjunction with VP Financial Planning and Analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CPA required; MBA preferred .
Experience :
- 10 years of senior-level experience in controllership or finance leadership roles.
- Proven record of success in managing complex financial environments and driving transformation.
Technical Skills:
- Strong command of US GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory valuation.
- Expertise in ERP systems
- Oracle and Deltek preferred .
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI .
- Experience with automation tools like BlackLine, RPA, Alteryx is a plus.
Competencies:
- Strong command of US GAAP with hands-on experience managing complex legal entity structures across a multi-BU organization.
- Proven track record in accelerating close cycles, enhancing close accuracy, and partnering with external auditors.
- Demonstrated experience in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and strong collaboration with FP&A on forecast alignment and variance analysis.
- Capex governance leadership, including budgeting, approval controls, and post (1) investment reviews.
- Partner-oriented mindset with ability to align and collaborate effectively with Finance Shared Services (BOSCOE) for clarity in roles, process ownership, and service delivery.
- Skilled in Lean Finance principles to drive simplification, standardization, and elimination of non-value-added work.
- Experience in M&A and divestiture (D) projects, including Day 1/Day 100 execution, accounting integration, and reporting realignment.
- Technologically savvy with ERP expertise in Oracle and Deltek; experience in government contracting environments is a plus, particularly regarding cost structure alignment and compliance requirements.

- Strong Power BI acumen, with ability to lead or partner in data governance, reporting consistency, and analytics maturity.
- Proven ability to sponsor, guide, and direct major finance transformation projects, ensuring alignment across functions, setting clear priorities, and driving accountability through structured governance and milestone tracking (project management).
- Ability to lead high-performing teams, develop talent, and build a culture of accountability and business partnership.
- Ability to develop and implement long-range financial plans. Knowledge of budgeting, rolling forecasts, and product-line profitability.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
