Brooks Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic and experiencedleader to join our team as the Vice President of Finance. This isan exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing andadvancing the financial operations of one of the nation’s leadingrehabilitation providers. Reporting directly to the Executive VicePresident and Chief Financial Officer, the VP of Finance will drivethe continued success and growth of Brooks by refining financialprocesses, providing strategic financial guidance, and leading ahigh-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
As the VP of Finance,you will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening thefinancial operations at Brooks, including: Leading all accountingfunctions, payroll, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, capitalassets, accounts payable, procurement, treasury, and financialreporting/planning/analysis. Managing the annual fiscal year-endaudit to ensure it is completed on time and without adjustments.
Overseeing payroll processing and ensuring timely, accuratepayments, while ensuring compliance with federal and state payrolltax regulations. Developing and mentoring a high-performing financeteam while improving department processes and efficiency. Managingthe integrity of consolidated financial reporting, monthly variancereports, and internal financial statements by entity. Producinginternal financial reports, including monthly and annual reports,and identifying key variances. Supporting business development andplanning with pro formas for decision-making. Coordinating with theVP of Revenue Cycle on accounts receivable reserves and patientaccount evaluation. Reviewing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports andcost recovery computations in line with federal and stateregulations. Ensuring effective cash flow management and optimizingaccounts payable to meet financial goals. Leading the developmentof a flexible budgeting system tailored to volume-based financialplanning. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federalregulatory filings and overseeing the collection of financialsurvey data. Identifying opportunities for cost containment anddriving efficiency initiatives to meet financial objectives.
Managing the treasury function and investment portfolio, ensuringoptimal financial resources are available for operational needs.
Overseeing the procurement process to ensure vendor compliance andappropriate stock levels. Engaging and collaborating with seniorexecutives, board members, and staff on financial reporting andanalysis, ensuring smooth financial operations and appropriatecontrols.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a leader with strongfinancial acumen, excellent management skills, and a passion forhealthcare.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A bachelor’s degreein finance, accounting, or a related field (master’s degreepreferred). Active CPA or CMA certification preferred. At least 8years of progressive accounting and financial experience, with aminimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Deep knowledge offinancial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, andgenerally accepted accounting standards. Expertise in healthcarefinance, reimbursement, and governmental programs is preferred.
Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to makestrategic decisions based on financial insights. A proven abilityto work independently with accuracy, reliability, and soundjudgment. Exceptional communication, presentation, andorganizational skills.
