Job Description
Assistant Controller Amphenol Custom Cable Tampa, FL 33619 SUMMARY Responsible for general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis of assigned functional areas. The Assistant Controller will support al aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. This position reports to the Controller.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and monitor financial models through benchmarking and process analysis. Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual forecast of revenue and profits. Prepare cost projections. Oversee calculations, posting, and verification of financial data. Analyze actual financial results to forecast/budgets. Complete various monthly reconciliations of general ledger control accounts Assist with monthly reporting to corporate headquarters. Prepare special reports as requested by Controller. Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/ receivable and payroll. Lead month-end and year-end clos processes. Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures. Assist with compliance requirements including tax fillings and regulatory reporting. Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across departments. Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong understanding on cost accounting principles. Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
