They manage the accounting staff, prepare financial statements, and analyze financial data to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month end close process including delivery of financial statements and review of all relevant reconciliations Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (internal and external) according to GAAP and other relevant standards. Ensure adherence to financial and accounting regulations, including tax laws and lending covenant requirements. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to protect company assets and ensure accuracy. Manage external audit and tax engagements Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and support decision-making. Hire, train, and supervise the accounting staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA certification is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
