This is a “right hand to the CEO” position with direct influence on the company’s financial health. Position Summary The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, management of existing resources, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across all entities. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires deep knowledge of GAAP, multi-entity consolidation, and some knowledge of international accounting practices. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, process discipline, and a mindset geared toward growth, automation, and transparency. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all accounting operations including GL, AR/AP, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Supervise the monthly close process and prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and currencies. Develop, document, and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, federal and state regulations, and international requirements for Brazil and the Philippines. Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes in coordination with executive leadership. Partner with our external CPAs, auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings. Oversee accounting team members, including offshore resources and the U.S.-based Accounting Manager. Improve and automate accounting processes and systems to scale with the company’s growth. Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by the executive team. Support M&A activity, intercompany loan structuring, and due diligence efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required). 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role. Experience with multi-entity and international operations (especially LATAM and Southeast Asia preferred). Deep understanding of GAAP, accounting systems, and financial controls. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools; experience with Salesforce or staffing ATS/ERP systems a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and work across departments. Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and strong problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote-friendly environment.
