Position Summary The Director of Finance will work directly under the CFO to ensure that SurgiShop meets its financial goals. This leader will oversee financial tracking, reporting, and analysis processes. They will implement dashboards, forecasting models, and operational KPIs to drive financial performance, manage accounts receivable risk, support vendor management, and enhance visibility into business trends. This highly analytical and proactive role requires collaboration across sales, operations, and executive teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain financial dashboards to track revenue, gross margin, AR turnover, and expense targets. Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial performance reports to the CFO with insights and action recommendations. Critical systems. Forecasting and Budgeting Assist in developing and refining quarterly and annual financial forecasts. Monitor forecast variances and recommend corrective actions. Support annual budgeting processes across departments. Accounts Receivable and Vendor Payment Management Monitor AR balances (currently $ 2 M+) to ensure healthy cash flow and timely collections. Analyze aging reports and collaborate with sales and collections teams to reduce past-due balances. Oversee vendor payment tracking, ensuring approximately $500,000 in weekly supplier payments are correctly processed, forecasted, and optimized for cash management. Partner with Sales Directors to track sales team performance against targets. Set up tools to measure sales KPIs like average deal size, revenue per rep, new account acquisition rate, and AR per rep. Assist Operations and Procurement teams with inventory and vendor financial reporting. Enhance internal controls and ensure compliance with SurgiShop’s financial policies. Recommend and help implement financial process improvements, especially in reporting automation, collections, and AP workflows. Assist Operations and Procurement teams with inventory and vendor financial reporting. Prepare executive summaries for CFO presentations to the Board, private equity firms, or investors as needed. Help track KPIs relevant to potential future transactions (e.g., private equity acquisition metrics). Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred) 2+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in distribution, healthcare, or similar industries Strong experience in forecasting, cash flow management, and operational KPIs Skilled in financial systems; familiarity with QuickBooks Online and dashboarding tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau) preferred Highly analytical with attention to detail and strong communication skills Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments is a plus
