Job Purpose Crown Holdings is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer reporting to the Chief Financial Officer to support the growth of the organization, driving best practices across all aspects of the accounting, internal controls, and financial and sustainability reporting for the Company. This includes establishing, monitoring, and reinforcing accounting policies and procedures across the organization. The Chief Accounting Officer will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process ensuring timely, accurate reporting of financial results. S/he will also monitor emerging accounting guidance and make necessary changes to ensure compliance with US GAAP. Further, the CAO will identify, implement, and champion initiatives to enhance the function’s operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and analytical capabilities. The CAO will ensure a culture of continuous improvement, implementing processes, tools, and systems that translate financial data into meaningful and actionable insights. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hands-on and solutions-oriented environment. S/he will also have a track record of leading a lean team and building out the functional capabilities Key Accountabilities Public filings – 10Q, 10K, Offering memorandums, 8K Additional reporting requirements, including restricted stock reporting, preparation of guarantor financial statements, legal entity reporting, management reports on corporate costs and statutory reports used in government filings Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures Evaluate and implement new accounting standards Consolidation of Actual results, Budgets, Rolling Forecasts, and five-year plan. Interest projection and analysis Maintain Accounting System (OneStream) Work closely with and support VP of Planning and Development, VP or Corporate Tax, Treasury, Risk Management, and the business units as needed Support global SOX testing and assist in mitigation as needed Sustainability Reporting Establishing controls procedures and reporting requirements for emerging topics, such as CSRD The ideal candidate will be a self-initiating executive with excellent judgment and focused on successfully growing the business. Function Experience:
15+ years of Accounting in a Global Environment Experience at Senior Manager level with Public Accounting firm PWC Alumni Sitting CAO or Controller Securities Exchange Commissions (SEC) reporting Experience with internal controls and SOX Compliance Thorough understanding of USGAAP and complex accounting issues Systems/Process Implementation and Automation M&A and post-merger integration
Leadership Experience:
Hands up ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude Track record of collaborating and influencing at a Global level
