Controller & Staff Accountant Are you a seasoned financial professional with a passion for leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence? LYGTC is seeking a dedicated Director of Finance to join our team. About the Role As Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the club’s financial operations. Your expertise will guide accounting, budgeting, audits, insurance, and technology functions, while also supporting human resources, legal matters, and strategic planning. This position requires a skilled leader with advanced financial acumen and proven experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll administration, and insurance management.

Key Responsibilities Accounting:

Maintain and train staff on policies, oversee cash management, ensure compliance with contracts, and manage payroll, balance sheets, and financial reporting.

Budgeting:

Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets, collaborate with department heads, and present budgets to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

Audit & Tax:

Prepare financial documentation, manage audits, and ensure compliance with tax requirements.

Insurance:

Oversee employee and property/liability insurance policies and evaluate coverage options.

Technology:

Collaborate with IT contractors to maintain systems, proactively replace hardware, and enhance cybersecurity.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in Finance, a Controller, or similar role (hospitality/club industry preferred).

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with Jonas or similar club software systems. Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paylocity.

Availability:

Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

Physical Requirements:
