Job Description

The company is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead its financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making at the highest level. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, optimizing resources, and supporting the organization’s mission to serve patients, families, and the community with excellence and compassion. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and oversight for all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and patient accounting. Ensure compliance and efficiency throughout the revenue cycle and financial systems. Collaborate with senior leadership to support revenue enhancement, cost management, and the implementation of strong internal controls. Assist in contract negotiations and analyze market and economic trends to inform financial strategy. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and financial acumen across departments. Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Board of Directors and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Manage annual audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and healthcare-specific regulations. Develop systems for accurate data collection and reporting to support informed leadership decisions. Maintain and strengthen relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and key external stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit settings. Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and organizational skills, along with proven leadership and team development abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive teams, board members, and community partners. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and a genuine commitment to the company’s values of service and integrity.
