About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to become a key part of our growing Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing various general accounting functions, overseeing critical processes such as the close process and accounts payable, contributing to management reporting efforts, and fostering collaboration across different departments. Responsibilities Coordinate Month End Close activities, which includes preparation of key account reconciliations, recurring and ad-hoc journal entries, and ensuring appropriate internal management reporting Assist with the development, review and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists and related documentation concerning controllership functions and responsibilities Actively prepare GAAP compliant technical accounting memo’s, documenting key accounting concepts and the impact to the current and upcoming operations Work with the Corporate Controller and FP&A team to ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with reporting needs including department, vendor and business line classifications Responsible for maintaining dimension reporting in the ERP and related systems for a rapidly growing company Maintain and continuously improve the control environment for current and new processes Actively assist with the Management of External Audit requests and commentary Participate in special projects, team training and development Ideal Background Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 8-10 years of experience (mix of public and private preferred) Strong understanding of US GAAP (IFRS a plus) and financial statement preparation and analysis Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams Experience in working with multiple legal entities and under different legal umbrellas Experience with a high function ERP (Sage Intacct a plus) Strong analytical and excel skills, experience with Python and SQL a plus CPA preferred but not required Benefits Comprehensive benefits package (Medical / Dental / Vision / Disability / Life) Paid time off and 13 paid holidays 401(k) retirement plan Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Access to HSA-compatible plans Pre-tax commuter benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP), free therapy through SpringHealth, acupuncture, and other wellness offerings Flow is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and hires regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity and/or expression, pregnancy, Veteran status any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
